ACCENT LINES:
The Handle Boards I sell are normally one species of wood, e.g., Walnut, so to ease the ordering process, you can't order accents through the cart. However, selecting a different wood gives it an impressive and differentiating flourish, so if you wish to have accent lines, see the choices on the Gallery Page and list this choice on the Cart Page in the "Add a Note" section and message me with Chat function bottom right of page. 
 
HANDMADE:
I buy rough hardwoods from lumberyards near me in Virginia.  I mill the lumber in my shop using my jointer, planer, and other tools and make beautiful, unique hardwood creations such as cutting and charcuterie boards.  Either side is usable. This charcuterie board has a handle on one end and a finger grip in the end. See examples in the photo gallery. 
 
WOOD SPECIES:
Every piece of wood is different.  Your board will look like the pictures above but understand that the wood grain may vary.  Due to varying lumber thickness, dimensions  +/- .25".

TAKING CARE OF YOUR BOARD:
Follow these tips to keep your boards lasting for years to come
Wash your board with soap and water after each use
Do not wash wooden boards in the dishwasher
Do not keep your board submerged in water
Let your board dry on edge so all sides drain
Never use chemicals or other cleaning agents on your board

When your board starts looking dried out, coat it with Bob's Board Butter, which is made from food grade mineral oil and beeswax.
